In each blast, through the use of large type and integration of the signs created earlier, I attempt to convey pathos, ethos, and logos.
The first three blasts all utilize pathos in the same way, asking the question "Are you ready?" at the bottom of the email. It is a subtle call to action, asking if people are ready to start fixing the problems within their communities. They also utilize ethos in the same way, occurring in the small paragraph about the organization REVITALIZE. For the purpose of this project, I created REVITALIZE as an organization to show how they are making strides in helping communities. The sustainable homes and the healthy food email blasts use logos by introducing statistics in large, headline formats, bringing attention to the problems affecting so many people.
The final email blast that pulls information from each of the previous emails, uses pathos and ethos in similar ways. It begins with the question "Are you ready?", starting off with the emotional call to action. To end the email, the statement "It's time to begin." puts the time frame into perspective, acknowledging that this organization is about fixing things now and asking for help to do so. Ethos appears in the text block that also explains aspects about the organization.
